Midsummer Magic

Friday July 30, 2010 7.30pm

Two singers, two pianists and multiple takes on life and love, illuminated by glorious music from two continents. Songs from French cabaret music halls surround “La belle eccentrique” piano four hand delights of Satie, then we jump the Atlantic for a musical battle of the sexes and sweet resolutions provided by Broadway greats Blitzstein and Bernstein. Two outstanding Canadian singers, Kimberly Barber and Brett Polegato, join Midsummer Magic regulars, pianists Peter Tiefenbach and Robert Kortgaard, for our opening night splash.
